A LONG AWAITED MOMENT

A long awaited moment has finally become a reality for the Republic of Korea. On January 2013, South Korea made history and placed its first satellite into space. With its sights set on success and success only, the Naro-1 was launched on that noble day. Two hours after launch, the satellite that piggybacked on the rocket was confirmed to be in orbit.

This marked a glorious day for the Republic of Korea as they became only the eleventh country to join the elite group of nations that have successfully sent a domestically developed rocket into space. Proving its capabilities on the global stage, South Korea and the Naro-1 has forever left its mark in history.
