Hanwha Techwin America boasts its new products at
the International Security Conference 2016
The International Security Conference, also known as ISC WEST 2016, the largest security industry trade show in the U.S., was held from April 6th to 8th at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV. Hanwha Techwin America boasted over 40 new products with the best quality in the security system industry, and over 10% of 25,000 attendees visited Hanwha Techwin America’s booth. The media was also excited about the new camera product line.

The new models include new Network PTZ dome cameras and WiseNet Q series cameras; all at a competitive performance and price point. Hanwha Techwin America is the first company to support the H.265 full camera to recording solutions. To more efficiently reduce bandwidth and storage needs, the new WiseNet Q series combine H.265 compression and support for Hanwha’s WiseStream technology, which dynamically chooses motion areas as regions of interest and selects high quality encoding for these areas.

Hanwha Techwin Europe provides IP network video
surveillance system to Adventure Island
Adventure Island, Southend-on-Sea’s famous seafront fun park, has invested in an IP network video surveillance system sourced from Hanwha Techwin Europe.

Adventure Island is a nine acre free entry fun park, offering more than 40 rides and attractions for all the family, plus a number of restaurants. It places strict compliance with its Health & Safety policies at the top of its priorities, and as part of efforts to provide high quality entertainment for all the family within a safe and secure environment, Adventure Island decided to invest in the latest video surveillance technology to monitor in real-time the movement of guests throughout the park and closely keep an eye on each of the rides.

When considering the operational and security requirements of the Adventure Island, utilizing Full HD 360 degree cameras was optimal decision, and among the number 360 degree camera manufacturers, Hanwha Techwin Europe was selected because of its competitive price and performance.

Ten SNF-8010 WiseNetIII 5 megapixel 360-degree cameras have been deployed at Adventure Island with most installed immediately above some of the more thrill seeking rides. The IK10/IP66 rated vandal resistant, weatherproof SNF-8010 has a digital PTZ feature which allows users to electronically pan, tilt and zoom in on specific areas for a more detailed view, whilst at the same time continue to monitor the whole 360-degree view.

25 WiseNetIII SND-5084 1.3 megapixel Day/Night domes and five WiseNetIII SNO-6084R Bullet cameras equipped with IR illuminators have also been installed at Adventure Island, with images captured by all forty cameras recorded onto a 64 channel SRN-4000 NVR.

“Bearing in mind the size of the site and the number of cameras required to ensure that there are no blind spots, we installed a dedicated fibre network to support the cameras. This has allowed us to take full advantage of the superb quality images captured by the WiseNetIII cameras, some of which are located up to 100 metres from our control room. We are able to simultaneously view live and recorded images at full frame rates without any latency or loss of image quality,” said Greg Allen, System Administrator for the StockvaleGroup of Companies which owns and operates Adventure Island.

LIANYUNGANG FACTORY AT A GLANCE

Just as Qidong is our manufacturing site for cells and modules in China, Lianyungang factory is one of our main centers for polysilicon and wafer technology. With RMB 1 billion (USD 150 million) of registered assets and RMB 2.2 billion (USD 340 million) of fixed assets, there are 102 G6 poly silicon casting furnaces and 88 advanced slicing machines at Lianyungang factory. The high quality wafers produced here are being delivered to Qidong, where they are processed further down the value chain into solar cells and finally modules.

Lianyungang factory holds 10 authorized patents, 2 of them for inventions. The HSM3 high-efficiency multi wafer technology, self-developed by Lianyungang factory, results in solar cell efficiencies of over 18.3%. The production capacity for polysilicon wafers at Lianyungang has now reached 1.5GW.

Over 1200 employees are working in Lianyungang factory, including 28 R&D engineers focusing on high-efficiency multi wafer development and wafer quality improvement. Recently the R&D members have been studying on projects such as high-efficiency polycrystalline nucleation mechanisms, crystallization optimization and micro defect prevention during crystal growth, aiming at leading ingot and wafer technology to an even higher level.
