The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow
At Hanwha, Today

  • The Sun will Come Out Tomorrow But At Hanwha, Today

  • Hanwha is the world's largest solar energy company, with annual production capacity of 8GW of solar cells and modules.
  • What makes Hanwha even more extraordinary is the social value it creates, leveraging its cutting edge renewable energy solutions for the betterment of local communities.
  • Happy Sunshine Campaign : Since its inception in 2011, Hanwha has supplied 1527kW of power to 217 facilities globally, producing a total of 7.3million kwh of energy.
  • Happy Sunshine Campaign : This has reduced CO2 emissions by 3,313 tons, which is the amount of emissions that 1.2million pine trees can clean in a year or the equivalent from a gasoline car making 22 round trips between the earth and the moon.
  • Happy Sunshine Campaign : Hanwha is also contributing to the development of local communities with projects such as building study rooms for children from low-income families, and using solar energy to power a cookie factory run by the local disabled community.
  • Renewable Energy Island : Hanwha S&C donated 210kW of solar power generation facilities and 900kWh of Energy Storage System to make Jukdo a 100% energy-independent island. This produces 1120kWh of electricity per day.
  • Renewable Energy Island : With this, Jukdo can save about 80 million won in power production costs per year, reducing 207 tons or CO2 emission which is the same as planting 41,000 pine trees.
  • Renewable Energy Island : The residents of the island have developed tourism infrastructure such as eco-friendly camping sites and fishing parks at a reduced cost, and are able to continuously pursue the economic growth of the island.
  • Going further, together is how Hanwha not only powers its own business, but contributes to the long term social value for the global society.
