  • 17,352 Q PRO-G2 260 Wp modules power solar plant in Mazaugues
  • Project installed and connected to the grid by partner VSB in eight months

Hanwha Q CELLS has been providing 17,352 of its Q PRO-G2 G2 260 Wp modules for a solar power plant in Mazaugues in South-Eastern France. Planned and installed by VSB énergies nouvelles, the 4.5 MWp project was realized in eight months. VSB chose Q CELLS modules for their high quality and reliability. In addition, Hanwha Q CELLS provided the relevant carbon footprint certificate that was expected by VSB. The solar plant will create enough energy to supply approximately 4,000 households with clean energy.

“VSB has great confidence in Q CELLS´ modules, which are being produced in Europe and have the necessary carbon certificate for receiving subsidies”, said Emmanuel Macqueron, VSB President. “The collaboration between VSB and Hanwha Q CELLS is the evidence of that. In working with Hanwha Q CELLS, VSB chose a quality solution.”

VSB énergie nouvelles is a subsidiary of WSB Neue Energien. The company has been implementing renewable energy projects since 2001. VSB delivers solar solutions from planning to realization of solar plants, including project funding and legal permissions. With regard to the Mazaugues project, VSB decided to implement Q CELLS Q PRO-G2 modules since they were the ones best suited for this particular project.

“We are very happy about the highly professional collaboration with VSB”, said Stephan Maurel, Director Cells & Modules at Hanwha Q CELLS France. “The project in Mazaugues is yet another proof that Hanwha Q CELLS is the reliable partner for high quality PV products and projects – being able to address very different needs of customers in Europe and beyond.”
