THE PLAZA (General Manager: Mr. Yuji Hirahara, www.hoteltheplaza.com) was recognized by readers of Smart Travel Asia as one of the Top 25 Business Hotels in ‘Best Asian Travel Brand 2013.’
Launched in 2002, Smart Travel Asia is Asia’s only dedicated online travel magazine based in Hong Kong, reaching over 1,000,000 frequent travelers worldwide. Since 2005, Smart Travel Asia has been conducting BEST IN TRAVEL POLL by reader vote. In this poll, participants are free to vote on the best cities, airlines, hotels, resorts, airports, and holiday destinations.
In this year’s poll, THE PLAZA was selected as one of the Top 25 Business Hotels. Reopened in 2010 after extensive renovation, THE PLAZA boasts a central location in Seoul as well as advanced services tailored for business travelers, such as the automated guestroom system, free wireless internet and 24 hour IT butler, which helped secure the first-time recognition as ‘Top 25 Business Hotels’ from Smart Travel Asia.
Other hotels in the same category included Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong (1st place), Island Shangri-la Hong Kong (2nd place), Four Seasons Hong Kong (3rd place), and Fullerton Hotel Singapore (3rd place). Among hotels in Korea, Westin Chosun Seoul, Park Hyatt Seoul and Grand Hyatt Seoul were recognized in the same category along with THE PLAZA.
General Manager Yuji Hirahara said in a congratulatory remark, “With this honor, we hope to increase brand awareness not only in Asia but also in the United States and Europe. We will continue to strengthen our programs for business travelers, such as our unique loyalty program and airline mileage feature, endeavoring to become a premier business hotel in international market.”
