Hanwha Qcells named Top Performer by Kiwa PVEL for 9th consecutive year, along with 3 other major U.S. and European solar awards

Hanwha Solutions Qcells Division (Hanwha Qcells), a global leader in complete clean energy solutions, announced its recognition as a Top Performer by Kiwa PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) for the ninth year in a row. The award is one of four major accolades recently secured by the company in the U.S. and European solar energy sector, including the Renewable Energy Test Center’s (RETC) High Achievement in Performance rating, EUPD Research’s Top Brand PV award, and German news channel n-tv's Life & Living Award. These recognitions underscore Hanwha Qcells’ outstanding product performance, reliability, and brand influence, which are widely recognized in the global solar energy market.

Kiwa PVEL, a global solar energy certification agency, evaluates the reliability of solar modules. Hanwha Qcells’ bifacial dual-glass solar module, the Q.PEAK DUO G11, was selected as the Top Performer for the ninth consecutive year in the 2024 evaluation. As one of Hanwha Qcells’ core products, the Q.PEAK DUO G11 was chosen for Kiwa PVEL’s Product Qualification Program (PQP), which the testing body uses as a guideline for its annual PV Module Reliability Scorecard.

As part of the PQP, Kiwa PVEL evaluates the reliability of solar modules by examining their resistance to rapid temperature changes, high temperatures, and humid environments, as well as to various external shocks such as hail and heavy snow. The program also checks for potential induced degradation (PID), light induced degradation (LID), and light elevated temperature induced degradation (LeTID). Equipped with Hanwha Qcells’ unique manufacturing technology, the Q.PEAK DUO G11 has consistently received a high evaluation over the last few years for its exceptional durability and superior efficiency retention.

Hanwha Qcells' modules achieved high scores in various categories, including PID, LID, thermal cycling, conversion efficiency, module efficiency, incidence angle modifier (IAM), and temperature coefficient — demonstrating excellent performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability.

Hanwha Qcells once again proved its robust brand power, earning the Top Brand PV award from EUPD Research for 11 consecutive years in Europe and three consecutive years in the U.S. According to a brand reputation survey conducted on industry insiders who distribute and install solar modules in these regions, Hanwha Qcells received favorable reviews for product quality, service satisfaction, and brand recognition.

Furthermore, Hanwha Qcells secured the top spot in the residential solar market category for the Life & Living Award presented by n-tv for five years in a row.
